How to Reinstall Rundll32.EXE

The Rundll32.exe file is one of the more important files in terms of the performance of the Windows 7 operating system. If it becomes corrupt or damaged, the Windows 7 OS can suffer serious performance issues. To fix the error, you can reinstall the file to replace the corrupt one. To do this, you will need the Windows 7 installation disk and the administrator account password.

1 - Log in under the Administrator account.

2 - Insert the Windows 7 installation disk into the computer’s CD-ROM drive. Click the “Run setup.exe” option when the AutoPlay window appears.

3 - Click “Install Now” when prompted. Uncheck “I want to help make Windows installation better,” then click “Go online to get the latest updates for installation” and wait for Windows to search for any updates available.

4 - Check the box next to “I accept the license terms” and click “Next.” Click “Upgrade.”

5 - Wait for the computer to restart, then enter in the Windows 7 product key when prompted.

6 - Uncheck “Automatically activate Windows when I’m online,” and then click “Next.” Click “Use recommended settings,” and then follow the on-screen instructions.
